Yoga Therapy is a private yoga session, using the applications of yoga therapeutically to address an individual’s specific needs that cannot be addressed in a group environment.
Breathwork; gentle, supported and restorative postures, & deep relaxation are used to begin to move the body toward balance (homeostasis). Through homeostasis the body / mind can access one’s own healing potential, (different for each of us).
Yoga therapy addresses the healing process on many levels, physical, mental/emotional, & spiritual. It can be valuable for a wealth of ailments from Anxiety & Arthritis to MS, Diabetes & High Blood Pressure. In Addition, the philosophy of Yoga offers a way of living peacefully with what is and a deeper knowing that disease does not define the person.
