Through the use of hypnosis, Debbie is able to effect her client’s consciously desired changes at the subconscious level; accelerating the mental, physical and spiritual healing processes.

“It’s a great feeling when I can see someone making their desired transformation and putting their best self forward; whether it’s through taking control of their life to regain their health, overcoming a fear that has been holding them back from living a fulfilling life; having a sense of purpose, a positive outlook, or managing physical pain without the use of prescription drugs.”

Biography

Debbie grew up in Chagrin Falls, Ohio and attended Kent State University in Kent, Ohio for two years with interests in English, art and social sciences.  She then pursued a 15-year career in the travel and hospitality industries in Woodmere, Ohio; Sarasota, Florida and Los Angeles, California, and had many interesting (and some unusual) travel experiences.

Eclectic temporary and long term work experience followed in various industries including executive search, medical, and entertainment to name a few.  She then worked at Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California (a NASA Center) in the Mars Exploration Program for ten years as a meeting planner and co-editor of a monthly newsletter for a NASA Headquarters-directed international science-planning organization, the Mars Exploration Program Analysis Group (MEPAG); and provided administrative support for other Mars missions such as the ESA/NASA Mars Express, 2001 Mars Odyssey, and the Mars Exploration Rovers (MER); in addition to the Venus Exploration Analysis Group (VEXAG), the Shuttle Radar Topography Mission (SRTM), and special projects such as the 50th Anniversary celebration of Explorer I (the first US satellite in space).

Debbie has maintained an on-going personal interest and involvement in humanitarian, animal welfare and environmental causes.  In 1999/2000 she received individual recognition awards from the California State Assembly, the California Psychiatric Association and the Los Angeles County National Alliance for the Mentally Ill (NAMI) for her role as Event Coordinator of the 1999 AMI Jazz Festival, a non-profit mental health outreach program and jazz festival held in Pasadena, California.

Shortly after the tragic events of 9-11-2001, Debbie realized a personal calling and enrolled in the Hypnosis Motivation Institute for training as a hypnotherapist.  HMI was the first nationally accredited school of hypnotherapy; founded by Dr. John Kappas, and providing behavioral science education for over 40 years.  She received four personal “signs” indicating that she should become involved with this work, and could do it effectively to help others.  In 2003, Debbie received her diploma and national certification as a hypnotherapist.

By this time she had experienced a heightened sense of awareness and an internal shift, which led to other pathways of studies in holistic health and metaphysics.  Southern California offered the perfect background for exploring these subjects through its many offerings of educational training, special events, conventions and expos such as the Body, Mind and Spirit Expo, Conscious Living Expo, the Cancer Control Society Convention; and perhaps the best of its kind – the Health Freedom Expo, where attendees may receive live presentations containing invaluable uncensored natural health information by renowned experts in this field; including investigative health journalists, best-selling authors, alternative health practitioners; and  doctors who were formerly trained in traditional western medicine who now endorse naturopathic and alternative health practices.  “The Health Freedom Expo is about protecting your right to know about natural health education, and your freedom to access these choices.”  The Expo allows open channels of communication and navigational guidance to the right connections for a particular health issue.  There are also panel discussions that encourage audience participation, and lobbyists who work to protect our human health rights within the Legislature.

Ear Candling
(Summary derived from excerpts of book, Ear Candling by Anne Tatum).

The healing method now called ear candling has been around for centuries; and used in some nations for thousands of years.  It is believed to have originated in ancient Egypt, and was also known in India, Tibet, and in the Aztec culture.  Our Native Americans also used this process.  Each culture had its own adaptation of the process; using materials from reeds, to cornhusks dipped in wax to form a hollow candle.

Ear candling was originally used as a metaphysical application for purification prior to, or as part of ancient rites of initiation. It was used to assist in opening the body’s spiritual centers, thus cleaning and cleansing the spiritual body through the physical.  In fact, it is still believed by some that the ear candling process can break up blockages in the subtle energy system and the subconscious, where repressed emotions and memories can lie hidden from the conscious mind, causing degenerative disease.

The current process uses a hollow waxed cloth candle.  The tip is placed inside the ear canal to create a seal and the top of the candle is lit.  The slow burning process is very relaxing, as a subtle vacuum is formed which gently pulls wax and debris from inside the ear into the base of the candle.  Based on testimonials including laboratory analysis, ear candling can aid in the removal of old ear wax and toxins such as bacteria, fungi and viruses.  It may improve any of the following conditions: sinus problems, sore throat, ear ache, swimmer’s ear, some chronic headaches, allergies and hearing difficulties.

Ear candling session fees:
Two candles per each ear (recommended) $60.00 (allow 1 ½ hours)
One candle per each ear $40.00 (allow 45 minutes)

For best results, it is recommended to use a drop or two of herbal ear oil in each ear 2-3 days prior to ear candling to soften the ear wax; (but not on the same day as the candling procedure).
